Welcome to Thousandfold Lotus, a space where you can take a deep breath, learn to move with intention and become your best self inside & out.
Hang around here and you’ll learn how to do quality exercise with a deeper mind-body connection. I’m talking waking up those deeeeep muscles in the body, moving with complete connection and turning your attention to the energy within your body.
My goal is for you to get mindful in 2 major ways:
1) The WHY behind your body movement. Meaning, helping you choose exercise from a place of enjoyment and self-love as opposed to a place of punishment or requirement. (Ahhh, it feels good to hear it…and even better to have permission, right!?)
2) HOW you move your body. Begin to listen to what your body is telling you and respond by choosing intelligent exercise that will specifically benefit YOUR body. We’re all a little different and until you tune in to your own bod, you won’t be giving it the individual attention it needs. I’m here to show you the way.
If you’re wondering what “Thousandfold Lotus” means, here’s the scoop: it represents manifesting the divine into your physical body. Sounds awesome, right!? Thousandfold Lotus is the english translation for the 7th chakra, the energy system that sits on top of our head like a crown. This energy system represents divine wisdom and your most enlightened self. The Thousandfold Lotus itself is the beautiful bloom of a flower, with infinite pedals, that rises from murky water. The growth of this flower, out of a messy place, is representative of our life journey to discovering ourselves as a whole. Which is exactly what I want for you, so let’s get started!
I’m committed to being here for you on your journey. For starters there are a bunch of written posts, videos and courses for you right here on the website. There is also no better way to excel than one-on-one training. If you’re thinking, I want to get mindful but have no clue where to start, shoot me an email.
By the way, I’m Adrianne, your instructor and the creator of this online space. After 10 years teaching in the fitness industry, I have studied and pursued a variety of exercise formats and philosophies. As you can tell, I dig mind-body connection, intelligent exercise and utilizing the BEST biomechanics. I start every initial session with a postural assessment so my clients learn the most efficient and effective way to train their own body.
The education, certifications & experience I have acquired over the past decade have shaped my unique teaching style. It all began with a degree in Kinesiology and an emphasis on Exercise Science. Once I graduated, I continued to seek specialized certification: NSCA (CSCS), STOTT Pilates Fully Certified including Injuries and Special Populations, 200hr Registered Yoga Teacher, YOGABODY Trapeze, TRX, Zenga and Barre. I have developed further specialty in pelvic floor, spinal conditions, pre and post natal and clients in eating disorder recovery.
Through the years I’ve worked one-on-one with thousands of amazing clients inside training studios, taught as an adjunct professor, served as the fitness specialist at NASA Langley Research center and created the wellness programming at an eating disorder treatment center in southern California.
In my free time, you can usually catch me at the Pilates studio, yoga, dog beach with my fur babies or skydiving (indoors & out!).
But most importantly, I love growing this space and I want to get to know YOU better and help you achieve your best self. Shoot me an email to introduce yourself and let’s get you started!
